The Adam Larsen from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) hosted a Tribal safety peer exchange from August 22-23, 2023, in Great Falls, MT to bring together road safety practitioners from Tribes, States, FHWA, and NHTSA from WA, ID, MT, SD, and WY to share transportation safety information. Discussions included information on Federal funding programs, safety planning, safety countermeasures, and safety data collection and analysis.
The presentations are hosted on the FHWA’s event website along with a photo album from the peer exchange. The presentations are also hosted on the center’s SharePoint site if you would like to download the presentations in bulk.
The event marked a significant gathering in Tribal transportation in the PNW and Northern US as Tribal transportation professionals, experts, and enthusiasts convened for a series of insightful sessions and discussions related to Tribal traffic safety. Hosted over two days, the event aimed to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation within the tribal transportation community through detailed presentations related to Tribal traffic safety analysis, funding, and partnerships.
