The Northwest Regional Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) hosted a transportation symposium from May 16-18, 2023, in Airway Heights, WA. Many of the presenters graciously provided their presentation to the NW TTAP Center and are available on the center’s SharePoint site. The event marked a significant gathering in tribal transportation in the PNW as professionals, experts, and enthusiasts convened for a series of insightful sessions and discussions. Hosted over three days, the event aimed to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation within the tribal transportation community through detailed presentations.
Over the three days, attendees were enriched with a plethora of knowledge, from technical aspects of road construction and maintenance to the critical intersection of transportation and safety. The event exemplified the dedication of tribal transportation professionals to fostering safe, efficient, and well-maintained transportation networks for their communities.
